Hi,
Just about to order Boeing Cockpit & PMSystems and have a quick question...
Does the hardware I am using have to connect to the same pc where the software is running or will widefs send the inputs/outputs to wherever the hardware is connected?
E.g. Can I connect my h/w (using FSBus) to PC1 which will run Glass cockpit and then run PMSystems on PC2 but the switch inputs from my OH connected to PC1?
Thanks
Mike

Hi!

You do not have to have the hardware connected to the say PC as the software.

I have PMRJ Software running beautifully on Client 1 and 2 while my phidgets, GoFlight, and FDS SYS3 cards are all connected to the FS9 Server.

I do however need to buy a powered usb hub!

Hi Mike.

All my hardware is connected to the main Flight sim PC. But PM systems and all my other software run on different PC's. No issues. I think everything works better when you have all your hardware on the flightsim machine anyway.

Best regards,

Trev

You program the hardware to operate via PM or pmSystems offsets in FSUIPC -- they are all listed in documents on the PM website. The more common functions are actually listed as special controls in FSUIPC's buttons/switches options -- see the FSUIPC Advanced User's Guide for details of those.

WideFS makes sure every PC sees the offsets and their changes, so you place things where they are needed.

Yes, that's exactly what I do (but with PFC hardware not FSBus).

Pete
