Picked up a set of Boeing trim knobs for the control stand last night. Cheap too at $31USD.
They need cleaning up, and maybe a coat of paint. We'll see when they get here.

And after clean-up and refinishing:

Getting ready to install them now, and get this, they LIGHT UP! Too cool.
I won't be wiring them into the sim for a couple of weeks, but I'm mounting them now.

Thank Matt. I think it's so cool that they are illuminated.
The rudder trim is set up to trim 2.5 degrees for every full revolution of the wheel and the aileron trim 3 degrees for every revolution. These won't be working in the sim, but it's nice to have the real parts for effect.
I can call my control stand complete now. (Well, as soon as I wire them up!)

BSW,
Why not? Rudder trim is easily doable....you can assign an axis. Elevator trim is maybe more problematic.
Shame to take such FANTASTIC looking refurbished parts and make them only eye-candy.
Don't give up too quick.;)
best,

PS: You want to come refurbish my CAR?

Oh, you never know what I might have up my sleeve in the future. For now though, my card is out of axis hookups. If it do it, it will be awhile yet.
I have about 800 hours logged in the Dreamfleet 727, and I can count on one hand the times I've needed rudder trim. Even while flying in manual mode which is 100% of the time during cruise.
But, the gear is already on the shaft, all I'd need is another reduction gear for a pot and the pot gear.
