Simple answer.... "NO" and I wish it would, since I've got my throttle and side sticks connected to one. I'll have to use something else, PM is not friendly with non-joystick inputs.
It's really up to Alan to program FS2Phidgets to be able to make it work that way. BUT, I know that's a major task for him....

I tried that. And I found it very unstable. axis jumpping around like crazy.You also have to put a jumper on the 7 row. Disn't like it at all.

Did you use the Diveiw? I bought a couple, but my pots are worn out, so I need to get them replaced first. I don't see a row 7? 6 Colums by 6 rows.

Radar,
I have discussed your problems with the BUO836 controller with Leo. There was a issue with a certain batch (see details below). If you email him he will replace the controller for you.
Info re faulty controllers from Leo. He has asked me to pass this onto you.
Subject: BU0836 analog inputs - quality issues / fix
Dear customer,
Your user experience and the quality of BU0836 is very important to me.
Unfortunately, I have identified a bug in hardware that in some cases may affect the quality of input data produced by the controller and cause you frustration while looking for problem elsewhere. It can be easily fixed. Please read on.
WHAT IS AFFECTED?
The quality (stability) of data from analog channels 2,3,4,5,6,8 (displayed as Y, Z, RX, RY, RZ, Slider). This may look like excessive noise or oscillating input values, especially when compared to the similar data from analog input 1 ("X"). Under normal circumstances the input should not produce more than one step of noise (jitter) when input value is stable. The values can be easily monitored from Windows control panel calibration utility when raw data output display is enabled.
WHEN DOES THIS HAPPEN?
The problem happens ONLY when analog input 7 ("Dial") is NOT used (left open, unconnected).
HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM?
1. If you use only ONE analog input, make sure it is connected to either input 1 (X) or 7 (Dial)
2. If you use TWO inputs in joystick configuration - 1 and 2 (X, Y), activate input 7 (Dial) by connecting input pin 7 to its GND pin using included connector or a motherboard jumper. This will make input 7 active and locked at constant level. Ignore this extra channel.
3. If you use THREE or more inputs, make sure you use input 7 among them. For example, if you use joystick with a throttle, make sure the throttle is connected to input 7. Alternatively, activate input 7 by placing a jumper or connecting the input 7 to GND and ignore this extra channel.
WHAT FUNCTIONALITY IS NOT AFFECTED?
Digital inputs (buttons and POV hat switch), inputs from analog channels 1 (X), 7 (Dial) when they are used are not affected and always operate as expected.
WHAT PRODUCT IS AFFECTED?
Both BU0836 and BU0836A shipped between 12 September 2007 and 12 October 2007 as completed products or as chip only.
WHY WAS IT NOT DETECTED DURING QC?
The quality control process uses simultaneous tests on all 8 analog channels. In this configuration input 7 is activated and the bug is not affecting device performance making it impossible to detect.
============================
SUMMARY
If you use two or more analog inputs, please make sure that input 7 (Dial) is either used as part of the design or activated forcefully (e.g. by placing a jumper between its input pin and GND) as shown on the photo.
============================
I sincerely apologise for inconvenience this may have caused. While this bug is easily avoidable by following the procedure above, please contact me if this still causes you problems.
I would like to thank you once again for ordering your BU0836 and assure you that bugs like that are very rare and do not affect current products.
Thank you for your understanding and patience!
Best wishes
Leo Bodnar

No problem. As we have all found out, the road to our sim aspirations never seems to happen as fast as desired. Keep the dream alive - it will happen.
