Does anyone know where to get a small lcd for my annunciator panel/lights.
Should be about 6" to 7" diagonal. Doesn't have to be a touchscreen.

Thanks

Spit:

Just thought of something when I looked at the viewing angle 'specs ... narrow field of view when compared to using existing lights.

Might be something to bear in mind.

Sony PSOne Screens work excellent. They are only 5" though.

Here is a 5" color LCD for $79.00, I ordered one on Friday. I have bought monitors from them before, they have a good selection.

Is there more info on setting up a Psone screen ?

Do you have to take the game apart?

I did a search and found some good tutorials on the PSone.

Seems that it would be a lot easier if I could find a lcd with a vga connector.

Thanks for the links .

Spitty:

I just spent some time looking at the PS One hacks and have full confidence that it could modified by us and used for the annunciator panel. That would save us a lot of hardware wiring time and incandescent light bulb current drain on the system. You've been telling me that for a month or so I think.

The penny finally dropped and clicked the brain switch in a rare moment of clarity during my second cup of coffee on the balcony. After I looked into the electronic guts of the thing, saw the hacks and then looked at our pictures, it was "holy smokes" or words to that effect. ..LOL

Now lets keep our eyes open for a PS One and I'll warm up the Weller soldering gun and cold chisel (makes for excellent cold solder joints) and be ready to do the deed.

Off topic, having a ball with making ham radio contacts from Jamaica operatig portable with an antenna strung between to tropical fruit trees onto the balcony ... its ham's dream.

Lee
