i have just finished my seatbelt on the seat (will post pictures eventually - i promise!:)) and bought a Buttkicker. put the thing itself inside my chair. cut a squere out my seat mounted the unit in. put the fabric back over and the fur cover over that. works a treat!:) like you all say so much realism is added it's great you can actually feel the engines starting rather than seeing them:)
I decided to put the device In my seat because when mounted on the wood it makes a noise and on the metal underneath my seat it sounds a bit like a jackhammer so chances of hearing anything else is slim. so it put it on the inside of my seat surronded by foam from the seat and nothing can be heard at all - a result in my opinion.
However my question was eg. flying in bad weather you can see the turbulence on the plane by the movement and frequent pitching up and down. but can you feel it? well my answer is no and just wanted to know if there os any doftware that wnhances the sound of turbulence (because the buttkicker works from sound processing into vibration.) does anyone recommend anything?
i know others are having the same problem with motion platforms in getting the actual plane to vibrate/ rock in turbulence.
your opinions on this would be interesting.....

Get those photos uploaded - I was contemplating a buttkicker myself - worth the money?
Cheers

Most certainly worth it- It is the 2nd most commented thing about my Learjet 45 sim after the first, which is, 'Wow, these Porsche seats are very comfortable!"

Hi, well i didn't actually state the full extent of the situation. By means of a buttkicker i don't actually mean a buttkicker even though that is the common brand name. what i did was i bought an AURA INTERACTOR which you may or may not have heard of. i was wanting to buy a buttkicker intentionally but i saw this in a game shop in hull and thought i dont know if this will go on FS but i will give it a go (it was only £15) hooked it up and work great! i dont think i would be able to notice the difference between that and the real thing besides the brand name. after lots of trial and error of mounting it under the seat on the box of the seat. i decided to put it in the seat. by cutting a hole in the seat and placing it in nicely now it shakes and you cannot hear a thing and it's great!!
i have seen some on ebay that are going cheap... definatly a great alternative if on a tight budget.
By the way the AURA INTERACTOR is actually supposed to be a rucksack type thing that goes on your back. but with very little work just remove the casing until you have the shaker itself then just put it where you want. i dont think anyone wants to having a big clumbersome sounder pack on their back when flying.
it was a punt and it paid off - well happy:)
like i say will get pictures up soon but always had problems on here with the resolution being too big etc. but nevertheless i will certainly try in the next day or two.
all i can say is ... watch this space;)

Will do a search for one of those (AURA INTERACTOR) to see if I could use it...
Top tip I had off our friends on MyCockpit was http://www.irfanview.com for resizing images - its a doddle!

Here is a picture i was hunting fro on google - it just about accounts for what i have done. This is infact where i got the idea from by taking it apart and doing this. when i did some reasearch into the product after buying it.:)
