Hi guys,
It seems that the most popular method to date for actioning flaps action is using 2 microswitches - one for the command "action" and one for determining whether it is a flaps "up" or "down" command.
Would it not be much simpler to use an incremental encoder (also known as a quadrature encoder), which can sense direction? This could save on quite a lot of complex mechanical linkages...
A similar method could be employed for the trim.
Am I missing something here? Or could this method work?
Cheers!
Martin
