I am contemplating making FS2Phidget an Open Source Project.
Working on principle that many minds are better than one.
Would there be any interest in that?
Host on IFSBI?

Regards,
Alan.

Alan,

Oh yes! Not sure how much time I can put into it but I'm more than willing.
What language are we using?
I have VB6 right now.

Andy,

Idea is to make source available for whoever wants to download and tweak for their own porposes.

This will also permit more folks to work solutions for bugs, upgrades to newer versions of Windows, Phidgets, MS-FS, etc.

Language is currently VB6

Alan

Alan, Any updates on this?
Do you have code ready to give out or are you still debating on it?

Possibly, even consideration of a Forum Topic just for "Open Source FS2Phidget Project"

I have uploaded OpenSourcePhidget4FS to FS2Phidget Dowload page for whoever wants it.

This will be available to public within next day or two.

Alan,
I would definately be interested in this. I have been taking some c++ programming classes for the last 2 years and i have been lately looking into applying that to phidgets/sim. Please let me know if you decide to go that route.

Mike,

The source code is available to tweak and update for a builders own sim.
This is both an Open Source and Free Source solution.

Programmmers are under no obligation to collaborate. We all have jobs and a time consuming hobby. Although, I am sure, other builders will appreciate any contribution.

If collaboration takes off we may need to take up Matt's suggestion of a dedicated forum.

To anyone embarking on programming for Phidgets and FSUIPC I would recommend examining with example code from Phidgets.com and the FSUIPC Developer's SDK.

Regards,
Alan.
