Hi all,

I notice that on many of my flights, certain fixes in space or those yellow waypoints are not there vs the newest charts.

I am using FS2004 with NO cdu. I have updated builds as far as I can go with Dawson and PM given that I have FS2004.

Should I be seeing ALL those waypoints? Is there somewhere esle that I should go to update them?

Thanks

Randy

Hi Randy,

it sounds to me that you upgraded the PM software itself, but not the navdata itself (which has to be updated seperately from the Glass Cockpit software).

PM have some navdata update on their page, but I think this is also only updated every once in a while. As far as I know, the only way to have up to date navdata is to use the updates from NAVIGRAPH. This service costs a few Euro / Dollar a year, but itīs well worth it.

Just one thing to sort out: You are aware that you can switch through the the types of navigational Data (VOR / NDB / Fixes) that is displayed via keyboard?

Hi,
thanks for the info.

I do switch thru the diff VOR, NB, FIX, APP etc. Its the yellow triangle ones that some seem to be missing.

I will check out PM site for updates.

Thanks

PM has data from 2007:
http://www.projectmagenta.com/downloads/builds/latest/testnavdata0704(ver10)/

Otherwise, you need to buy the data (as mentioned by stefanloss) from Navigraph:

The yellow triangle ones are de FIXES .

PM Data (on their site) is completely outdated if you use actual enroute charts or real life flightplanners. Therefore you have to use the Navigraph NAVdata which is available for PM and a lot of other FS addons on a regular airaccycle base, just as in real life.

The PM CDU or GC (ND) is only showing what it gets from the source (Navdata)
