finally got my pfd in the pit,

well boys,managed to get two of the lcds installed on my homemade mip,and put the pfd on today,
im running one pc for pfd and one for nd,should have it all sorted out by july then once ive bought my magenta fo permissions will get her running,for now though i was great to sit in the aircraft and see the captains pfd running,i had no idea they were that large ,its been four years of very hard work ,but to sit in the pit and think,yeah ive done it,was the best feeling,
ive got two weeks off from friday and im going to get the projection system sorted then i can really start doing some hours off the ground, again,
one question ive got some real 737 head phones and mics,anyone know how to wire them to a sound card mike and speaker type plug???

I have one of these adapters. They work but had some issues. They eat batteries!!! Now I think I can work around that with a filtered power supply but my other issue was with my TV Monitor. I have a Toshiba Flat screen TV in my room and found that the fly back transformer generates a hum in the transmit audio. To the person on the other end very annoying. I used a Dave Clarke headset as well a third party headset. The second I think is by Feather. Worked but too much audio and was told very narrow. Not as good quality as the Dave Clarke.

It would be relatively simple to fit the components of a PC headset to an aviation headset. Flying schools and avionic repairers would probably have a few "irrepairable" headsets on the chuck out pile rather than dismantling a good unit.
I need a good headset on the desktop, I believe the fan in my current PC is a Pratt & Whitney!
