Hi everybody,

Wondering after seeing many builders first use drawings on there home build flightdeck when they do not have panels yet. My question is where can I get some drawings of various flightdecks 1:1 scale.
Would love to make some pictures showing the knobs I make on diff. panels.
Thanx for any help.

Regards,

Nihad

This is one of the larger stumbling blocks when it comes to building a simpit. The information is out there scattered around, but there is no one single download that'll give you the 1:1 scale drawings to do every part of any specific pit. There are a few examples of aircraft where you can get the majority of dimentions from a single source though. I think the 737 has an overall shell drawings zip file. In an ideal world I could download a single zip file, open it up and have all the dimentions needed to make every single piece, but I've yet to see any information source be that complete.

If you check some on-line pilot supply shops and businesses that sell training manuals you may find some full-scale color cockpit posters used for cockpit familiarization.

I think Esso Manuals has these, but I haven't been to the site in some time.

Google aircraft flight manuals, airline training materials, and airline training and see what you can turn up.

I understand what you are saying and yes would deff. be a nice thing if there would have bin zip files with the various planes and all there info. The what I am looking for is not the shell dimentions or the hight and or sizes of yokes throttle levers etc etc . its more a layout pictures 1:1 scale of the pedestal panel layout or the overhead of any of the planes so I can make some kind of presentation background for the knobs I make.
It's obviously financially not an option to buy an overhead and a pedestal for 4 or more diff. types.
As I somethimes see builders out there building a flightdeck and on various positions awaitening there panel arrivall have a drawing filling the spot I thought maybe there is a .zip file or .gif of various panels out there.
I do thank you for your reply sir.

nihad, indeed its financially not interesting to get panels for all the knobs you are selling just for the one time pictures.

But there are several dutch builders, of who some might live close and will help you out.

You know i live close to you and you are invited over any time to make pics of your knobs in my sim. Frans M lives not too far either and he might offer you his a320 sim.

I'm sure theres 747 and 777 builders around too.

I want to order some of your knobs anyway, so maybe we can combine things.

That's QTVR, not a 1:1 scale drawing. He's looking for 1:1 panel training posters. I know where to buy ones for the T-6A and T-38C, but that's not what he's wanting either. :)
