Hi, although i havn't posted in a while i have been keeping an eye on the forum and working hard building at the same time.

If this is a repeat post i am sorry... i have had a quic k scan through before hand and found other measurements but i would like to know the distance from the highest point of the glare shield to the beginning of the overhead ei. the window viewing height. For the 737.

I dont, unfortunatly, have enough money for a state of the art projector at this moment :( but i figured if i can get 3 19" monitors via TH2GO then i can see how they will fit in the viewing area and see what the gap is and maybe when i get my shell made to compensate for this just to the height of the monitors.

kind regards,

Hi,

Think the bottom of the OH is 1285mm from the floor and the top of the glare is 1085mm from the floor so 200mm above - doesnt sound much!
Check out http://www.markuspilot.com/MarkusPilot.htm for loads of docs on measurements (thats were I got those from)...

Cheers
Mike

It really isn't much at all. Mine measures 9.75" or about 240mm.

It looks correct from photos, but I can't be sure if it's really accurate. Looks OK to me though.

Too bad I can't find a 727 sitting around somewhere.

thanks.... i figured it might be less than expectred because the top of the glarshield is infact further back than the start of the overhead so i would have to angle the monitors about 20 degrees to make then sloiped up to the start of the glare shield if you understand that lol.

thanks for that and i will now base the response on the planning design for my shell. and im looking for CAD cockpit websites.. i've found one but if anyone has anymore lying around in their favorites i would be realy grateful if you wouldn't mind passing them on to me.

thanks very much,
