When I go to mycockpitvideos.com this is what I see:
http://simpit.christrup.net/SIM/privpics/FORUM/mycockpitview.JPG
It's next to impossible to find anything in there.
What's up with that? (tried more browsers with same result)

I'm normally using Firefox, but have also tried IE, and I've been looking at it since I joined some10 days ago. Always looks like this.

I double checked again. I also double checked that there is nothing blocking this site in my browsers, cookies allowed etc etc. NO CHANGE.
I can see videos just fine - that is the ones that show up on the initial homepage (which is mostly viewable), but finding other ones to watch is impossible since I cannot read what else might be in there.
CAN SOMEBODY HELP????

jytte, you're not being ignored.
I've got some PM's out there looking to help you. Seems to be isolated though.

Oh, I didn't feel ignored :)
I just wanted to tell that I've tried whatever I can think of, and I just don't understand it. I'm ashamed to admit that for the first week I just thought that the site sucked  Now that my frustration level is rising, I finally thought of asking for help.

Hopefully we can get that fixed soon for you. One of the guys on here is away for the weekend and the other one that could fix it is probably spending time with family/kids.

When people aren't away, the guys are usually quite quick on fixing things. Thank you for your patience :D

Could be that it's me having some problem, but I can see other video sites just fine. I get that a lot it seems. I encounter a problem, and when asking around, I get: geeeze I've never seen that happen before.
Maybe I'm cursed http://simpit.christrup.net/SIM/privpics/FORUM/cry.gif

I go along with Tracy, that's a prety sad face :)
Anyway, we're always appreciative when someone tells us of a problem. If you're having a problem seeing the videos, and not anywhere else, then it would seem there is a problem on our end. So if you're having problems, most likely others are too. We need to resolve it!!!!!

Yes Houston, we do, ha ha
Cuss, if someone happens on the site for the first time and sees this, they're never coming back, and that's a shame.

Hopefully that won't be the case. If someone new has the problem too, hopefully they will do what you did and make a post regarding it

WHOA guys.
Don't call in the troops. I just had the bright idea to look up the site om another computer. And it looks just fine!
Sorry bout the trouble.
Now I really don't get it. But obviously it's a problem with my PC alone.

I just ordered a new PC, should be here in 2 weeks. So instead of spending hours and hours on figuring this out, I'm gonna ignore it and wait for the new one. I'm also getting UltimateDefrag. And I get to start everything fresh, so hopefully I won't have this kind of problem in the future.
Thank you all for your effort anyway.

Jytte,
In the meantime try clearing your browser cache of cookies, files, etc. This sort of thing is often related to the browser storing inappropriate data that it retrieves each time you visit this site. That's why it's OK on another PC, it's cache isn't filled with the same "junk" :)

As Ken stated clear browser cache.

Well, I see that you've more or less found a solution. Thats good because I could'nt find anything wrong in the site code anywhere.
Yes, please clear your browser cache and try again.

Hello All,
Cleared the cache many times over (and it's set up to auto clear when I exit), and it makes no difference.
Whatever it is it effects both Firefox and IE. Like I said, my hubby's PC shows the site just fine. Must be something I've done at some point in time (and the possibilities here are endless ) that got them both screwed up.
I see all other websites with videos just fine though. Can also see your videos, if I can find them that is.

Try CNTRL + F5.
That forces a new page refresh ignoring stored web pages on your hard drive.
Worth a try
Cheers

thanks, but that doesn't help either.
It's not a cache prop
must be a conflict somewhere

Good luck

hmmm, It does seem I have a problem with my Firefox handling shockwave flash objects
latest shockwave flash is installed on both PCs (and they are identical PCs), but oddly enough, when I look into hubby's firefox, how it handles files, it has two lines with
"SWF - Shockwave Flash Object - Open with shockwave Flash" and
"SPL - Shockwave Flash Object - Open with shockwave Flash"
and I do NOT have those lines in mine???? And I also cannot add these, so I'm a little lost.
This is another pic of how mycockpitvideos looks for me:
http://simpit.christrup.net/SIM/privpics/FORUM/mcvideo.jpg
I can see wome of the vids just fine on the opening page, but then at the end of the page, as you can see is where the trouble start, now why would there be a difference????
I'm thinking I have to start all over and reinstall Firefox, not an idea I relish.
OOps, edit: On the other hand, reinstalling Firefox probably won't work, cause I have the same problem in IE.

Just got my new PC, got my browser installed incl. misc. plugins, and now I have everything I'm supposed to have http://simpit.christrup.net/SIM/privpics/yahoo.gif
What a difference it makes when you can actually seeeeee what videos are in there
Once again, thank you all for your advice, and sorry for the trouble.
