I now have permission to go into a Navaho/Cheyenne based here in Hawaii and take measurements of the cockpit. (I thought I had permission before but...) I have a list of measurements already but I'd like to ask if anyone has any suggestions of what I should be checking for.

This will be the first time ever these measurements become available to builders so please speak up.

Andy, I get the pleasure of flying from PANC to PABG right seat in a Navajo every other week round trip. I fly out to a remote power plant in the Alaskan Bush for work. The guys on my crew ask me to fly right seat (there is only a one man flight crew on these flights) because of my aviation knowledge that comes mostly from this hobby. I of course default to actual pilots when they are aboard. We do this in case of emergency as we felt safer when we used to fly in the Twin Otters which had a full two-person flight crew. Anyhow if there are any you can't get or forget to get I may be able to help out. Some of the more importnant features to note are the different sized and angled panels that make up the MIP. It really is neat with it having different panel angles, gives it a deep "beefy" look.

That would be great!
The pit I want to build is the Cheyenne from Aerosoft and for months I was never able to find the measurements for it. If you could just take lots of pix with a ruler in the frame that would be great. I'll be crawling in and around with a tape measure.

Ok, It took me almost forever to get time to get over there, but I have the measurements! I'll be posting them in the download section soon for those of you that want them. There are some differences but they are because of different options at the factory.
