Sounds like we are in a similar position, also beginning out with great expectations of building a cockpit, my first project is to assemble a MCP. My question to you is did you build your MCP ot did you buy a complete module. Also considering i/o cards from Open Cockpit, your views?

hi bob ,, i brought my mcp for goflight but the fmc im building is from opencockpits but i have just started it. i think it will be fairly straight forward
but i guess i will get stuck on the software side of things( always the tricky bit)

Im on the brink of commiting to Open Cockpits, seen a lot of good reviews so hope I'm making the right decision, buying the complete set of i/o cards so I can build the electronic system and test that first before building the cockpit. Not sure at this stage what to build, seen that I want to have it on a motion platform eventually and I have limited space a 737, however I much prefer something a little different to the main steam and that is to biuld a custom cockpit which I could simulate any of the jets or simply pull the plug and enjoy a glider if you no what I mean.
Good luck with your product, chat to you again.
Thanks for the reply.
