I'm excited to see pics of my new A340 Overhead panels coming together. Phil is completely making me a new set of panels and frame work including the sidings.

Absolutlely beautiful looking panels. I'm exciting and look forward to them finished and having them in hand :) :) :) as you look at the pics you'll understand my excitement and enthusiasm.

Fabulous work, Thank you Phil,

Matt Olieman

Wow Matt. That's nice hardware. You can see the attention to detail in the manufacturing. Can't wait to see the whole shebang.

Is it just me or is Phil some kind of God sent to earth to make panels.... I think so...

Fancy making me some panels Phil... :-)

Looking forward to seeing them in your sim Matt.

Hey guys,

Thanks for your great comments and support, This is one mother of a project and a challenge but such good fun at the same time.

More progress has been made, ive completed now the electrical and air (C2+C3) panels with florecent colors, that was a real nightmare to build and I know only have one more panel to do to complete this, the HYD/FUEL panel, the one in the pics is a very old one with the non flurecents and the new one will hopefull be full flurecent and excuse my language here but its a real bitch to make:o but well worth it when you see it in the flesh.

One frustrating thing is my camera went pop as i was taking some more pics of the latest work last night:mad:

Panel making God? I dont think so but im working on it, however I do agree with you when you say you cant wait to see it installed in Matts sim!!

Those look absolutely amazing Phil. Well done.

Could I ask what materials and machinery you are using to make those? Also what bulbs are you using? I would like to try my hand at some 767 ones in the future. Of course if it is a proprietary costruction method I can respect that.

Thanks and keep up the good work.

Well, some of you will get to see this before I do. Phil is taking the overhead to FSweekend and displaying it at the MyCockpit Table. I'm soooooooo jealous :) :) :)

Here are some more pics....

It's no wonder they don't have engineers any longer. It's all stuffed into the overhead. Minus the gauges.

That is very impressive work. Words fail me. http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h146/boeing722/009.gif

I thought of a good idea to promote MyCockpit. Tomorrow at the booth we'll be taking guesses as to the total weight of Matt's overhead. At the end of the show, the person with the closest guess gets to take the overhead home.

Just kidding Matt, we'll look after it... I promise :)

Is this a once off or are you planning to produce airbus panels? I'm in the market soon for a a320 overhead on which I can get the correct backlighting color.
