Hi there I finally bought Pm GC yesterday.

I have CP flight MCP and efis and radio modules also from CP.
I also have Flyengravity FMC.

My question is:

1 PC: Do I have to install the PM cdu SW and then make adjustments in the CDU SW from PM or can I leave out he CDU sw from PM.

2 PC: The same question for MCP SW from PM?

I ask this because both CP flight and Flyengravity say thet their HW is PM compatible.

The part of installing the PF and ND SW from PM on one macine, and the eicas sw on another machine. is clear to me.

I have PMsystems also on another machine, all set up.

Yes you need to install both. The engravity cdu and the cpflight mcp do not contain logics themselves. They are merely a hardware interface to the pm software.

For the cdu, find the cdu.ini.
there is an entry in that file called "engravity cdu = "
behind that type the comm port your computer has assigned to the engravity cdu.
save the ini file
restart pm cdu and it will boot up the hardware cdu.

This procedure is decribed well in both the engravity manual and the pm manual

same for cpflight.
in pm mcp root dir there is a file called mcp.ini
look for the entry called 'cpflight com = '
there type the commport assigned by your computer to your mcp.
save the ini file
reboot
starting pm mcp should bring your hardware mcp to life
See page 5 of the mcp manual (for the pro version) from cpflight for more information.

good luck
