Hi, I'm new here, my name is Michael.
I'm building a Boeing 727-200 simulator.
In my center control stand I have two Collins dual nav-coms that are rotary controlled and the frequency is displayed in analog rolling numbers. Each of the displays use a tripple concentric rotary switch. The top most switch controls the display lamp on/off.
Has anyone here succesfully converted the old style radio heads for use with FS? Even the retired heart surgeon building a Boeing 727 down in the Caribbean has not had any luck converting his radios.
This seems to be a big stumbling block with my sim and I'm not quite ready to give up my original radios for a simulated USB radio head. Digital display radios were not used in many line service 727's and I'm trying to keep this as original as possible unless there is just no other way.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
