I know there is information in the download section regarding this topic but they all seem to refer to the actual panel dimensions etc. What I'm interested in right now is the dimension and cutouts for the metal support plate behind the panels. I have seen many pictures of this, but so far, have not been able to locate any drawings and/or diagrams. Is it that most folks approximate placement for holes, switches, buttons etc? Can someone share thier knowledge on this....it would be deeply appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

I would say that due to the individual nature of each cockpit, the supporting panels are unique, and I have seen no such measurements. As a matter of fact, I would assume there are many builders that don't use such panels at all. I know my panels are rigid enough that they support themselves.

Thanks BuddyM for your reply.

I've seen this on so many MIPs that I thought there might be a cad drawing of the the cutouts available. See the areodeck link above.. under intsrument panel for description.

What I'm looking for is the cutout measurements for each of those sections not so much as a support but as a guide line to building front face of the MIP. Thanks guys.
