I am relatively mechanically inept but I'm also relatively cheap. So can anyone give me any instructions about how to turn things like this:
http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/a800.php
and this:
http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/a790.php
and this:
http://www.desktopaviator.com/Products/Model_2097/index.htm
and this (as I already have GF racks)
http://www.goflightinc.com/order/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=43
Into something pretty much like this:
http://www.flypfc.com/vernier.html
or this
http://www.goflightinc.com/order/product_info.php?cPath=1&products_id=88
because I want it to look like one of these

I have done this exact thing with my first prototype sim
I cant find the images that i had before but i am still looking
i basicly took a piece of alum. that was long enough to support Phidget sliders then i bent one end of the alum. Then drilled the holes for the controls I then drilled small holes into the sliders (the metal part the knob goes on) i strategicly placed the slider in line (a tad offset was used) with the control wire and used stainless steel safety wire to secure the control to the slider (i weaved it in the drilled hole and used pliers to twist it secure) I then used a little bit of Jb weld otherwise it wants to slide out of the safety wire. I hpe that explains it I will try to find my pics.
This is all i can find right now this at leas t shows what it looked like installed.

Thanks. I will have to look into Phidgets sliders. I guess I need to do some searching on how to interface Phidgets with X-plane in OS X.
ps I couldn't see your picture
