Greeting Gents ( and Ladies ).

Not new to MyCockit but new as in a poster and not just a reader of stuff.
Some have "seen" me in the FDS forum.
My website is back along with B737 measurements.

"yawn" the boring stuff .... but for those interested....

I got the flying bug in 1979, the sickness seems to be slow in progression with no known cure.
Gaining a Restricted Private Pilots license soothed the pain but it surfaces again in 1981 so it was off to Commercial Pilots school.

Light aircraft 82-86, commuters 86-89. First Jet was the right hand seat in the three engined noise and smoke generator from Mr Boeing:mrgreen:
Changed over to the '73 beginning of '92. Fortunate to gain the left seat in '96 :D - how many hrs in the '73 now, ah lost count - over 12k :( ( sore backside )

Never liked Flight Sim, wasnt like the real thing. - no mouses in real aircraft.
Surfed the net and found flightdeck solutions. yep the sickness came back again this time in a virtual sense. that was about end 2003. Ive been hammer screws and screwing nails ever since. :?

I'm on my 4th ( or is it 5th ) sim - every one an evolution of the previous version. Got termites in our house so we renovated with a bulldozer and started again - thus the 2-3yrs of very little progress.

Position Report : Sim room is in the garage. Three short throw projectors onto curved ( MDF ) screen via P4Core2Duo + Maxtrox TH2Go :)
"Basic" sim almost finished. Will take a break soon from house building and sim building.

A bigger project is still planned - got about 3/4 stuff ready for a better sim with FDS IBL panels and real 73 controls + Thrust Quad.:p

Finally got my website back to a reasonable degree of design. Got problems with the links and still got more photos to upload but the 737 measurements have been written in word doc so you can "save as" the doc or .PDF format.
The measurements are "close" to the real thing but they are NOT exact. Most people like my info but some query things to the 5mm level:roll: Sorry not interested in that much perfection. Obviously some errors have occurred - when you come home with pages and page of scrawlly notes & measurements not ever thing will be accurate. Remember to build Your sim to Your requirements - doesnt have to be 100% replica.

Promised to get going by the beginning of World Flight 200x ! never made it - maybe World Flight 2009 will be a accurate launch date!

Although my sim is based around the '73 looking forward to flying the mighty Twotter around the skies in short strips. When 500agl get boring the X-15 up to FL2000 might cure the maladies of the flying bug.

"OK that enuff for now, move along, get back to work.......

Just a quick thank you note for the great info you have provided to many, many builders over the years. Glad to see your project is back on track & that your website is back in action.

And please... don't ever let termites get close to your sim. You really don't want to have to bail out at FL 0 :p

Enjoyed your site a lot, especially the pictures of your wrap around screen.

I couldn't see the pix using Firefox (v 3.0.11 with latest Adobe Flash), and had to wheel a rather dusty Internet Explorer 6 out of the software garage. Anyone else having Firefox problems with the pictures?

Hi Bryn.

I'm using Firefox V3.0.11 too with Windows7 64bit version.
No problems seeing the photo with me.
I'm using Adobe Flash Player 10 addon for Firfox.

What did you do with your amazing former website ? - dvincient

OK updating website ( SLOWLY ) !

Getting rid of the flash, and inserting photos into web pages.

Upload the "B737 photo" section, still got some editing to do and to add the glareshield / MCP section.

Mark.

I've been around to Mark's place a few times now, and I am impressed at how quickly he (re-)builds! He also has the Sol7 curved visuals up and running. Recently Matt Sheil and I visited him, and I actually got the "leans" whilst standing in front of the big curved screen! That's the immersion factor of this amazing software and Mark's great sim!

Hope to be flying in Mark's sim in just a couple of days

Peter.
