Hi All -
I am embarking on a 3 projector visual system employing a curved screen and utilizing Sol7 software and Wideview. I will also be using short-throw projectors.
Given my space limitations a 4:3 aspect ratio would work best for view "fill" from inside the cockpit.
The thing is that XGA (native 4:3 ratio/1024X768) offers lower resolution than WXGA (native 16:10 ratio/1280X800). The thought that I have is to go with a WXGA projector but to operate it in emulated 4:3 aspect ratio.
Any thoughts or comments on this? Visual appearance? Performance? Etc.
Also would be interested in comments about visual quality for XGA vs. WXGA in general.
Thanks,
Fred K
