If I had been building a 747-200 sim that would have been perfect.

Can you not convert it? buying the yokes, pedals and mouldings alone would cost well over that before the shell and all the little bits and peices.
Just a thought.
Needs a lot of space - 14ft wide !!!

Yeah, it could be converted. But to be honest I cant really afford the one on ebay.
I plan to make the shell and most of the other parts, so far my sim has cost me nothing as I was given the materials. Got the projector screen for free also. So I might get away with building my own shell. But I only have 13feet of space in width, and the shell is just over 11ft. So a tight sqeeze haha.
But thanks for the idea, If I could afford it I would seriously consider it.
Thanks,
Jake.

5 grand and reserve not met ?!?!
I know they are rare and desirable, but crikey, that's a bit steep, especially when you consider the logistics of moving and finding a place to keep it.
I think it's well known that I am a fan of real cockpits, but there's some serious possibilities with that kind of money.
Still, someone obviously thinks it worth at least the 5K and good luck to both parties

I don`t think its not that steep at all,(no I`m not the owner:D)
considering all the goodies that is instored.
Just look at the prices from flightdecksolutions ,
Also the prices for real aviation stuff soared recent years as vendors realized the potential.
And as they say ,You can`t beat the orginal

Phil, you could make some money making a set of AV-8B panels ;)
You might even be able to sell em to the few other cockpit restorers doing Harriers.
I'll pledge you a pound though, no strings, heck, I'll pledge a fiver, just to see someone near me with crazy cockpit project so I can tell my friends and they won't think I'm the only nutter round here !

I know a guy from Wycombe air park that does some of the transportation for the military cockpit lads. Has moved a lot of Canberra/Buccaneer type stuff.
He's an aircraft enthusiast so might do a good deal on transport.
