View Full Version : What colour inside 737
Hi,
I've been studying all kind of pictures but can't figure out what colour is used on the side walls of the FMC/CDU bay and the cockpit side walls.
For the CDU it appears to be a lighter sort of grey (see e.g. the pictures of our builder of the month November).
For the flight deck side walls I've seen pictures where it looks white (like the pedestal) on others it seems more the same sort of light grey as with the CDU. Maybe it depends on the lighting (or using a flash light). In any case the pedestal seems to be (very) white.
Any ideas??

JWS
PS Why is my signature not showing? What did I do wrong?

Hi JWS,
the two colors are: RAL 7011 and RAL 7031.
If you need spray cans you canget them here:

So the lighter shade of grey goes to the side walls and the pedestal bay is plain white.

Hi JWS,
basically, you need the RAL 7011 and white.
The FMC bay is white in the NGs, as are the side walls. The side walls were grey in the classic 737s. The throttle quad sides are white as well, and of course the pedestal.
What´s gray: All panels, the pedestal rim, display bezels, window sills, eyebrow trim, seats, ...
Maybe on your next jump seat ride to Strasburg (or was it Brussels?), take a 737, hehe.
Cheers
Chris

Thanks Chris,
it was Strasburg. So when choosing the NG I get stuck with a lot of light grey paint (used for my FMC/CDU). Hmmm.... well, see what I will do.
I'll make an old classic that has been refurbished but they forgot to paint the sidewalls white:p.

PS You told that CockpitSonic was near your homebase Hanau. Where exactly?
Hi,
may I use your expertise once more? I'd like to know what kind of black is used on the glare wing.

I think the real ones are black rubber.
You mean as in dark black or light black??? ;)
No Sean, I was thinking of a blacker shade of dark
No, what I meant was matt, satin, glossy etc.
