Heading Select

I am using the default 737 fsx and PM's MCP. I am unable to get the Heading Select to operate. At 1000ft I select the auto pilot and heading select but nothing happens

Have you disabled FS's autopilot gauge in the panel.cfg? Otherwise, both autopilots will conflict with each other and nothing will work.
