Hallo!
Again i need to ask you something about that issue with the FSX-waypoint problem. Today i installed again my FSX with all updates. Using the default B738 with the latest PM CDU, MCP & GC i still have the problem that short b4 reaching a waypoing on my flightroute the A/C turns into the waypoint as it seems it would miss it...
It seems to be a issue i asked about b4 but i dont know if there is any solution yet.
Anybody can help???
Regards

Hi Klaus,
In FSX, I have noted that speed plays into the anticipation of the turn... In fact when descending, I have noticed that with the default 738 it starts 2 miles before the turn, and it seems to be based on the speed in which you are flying and the geometric angle the turn will require. Is this what you refer to?
Let me know, I would like to understand this as well

Hi Jeff!
I have this problem not only while decent. Its always and at any flight condition.
Even if you have for example a few waypoints in a row and the plane doesnt have to make a turn to flyover, short b4 reaching the waypoint the plane slightly drift and in the last minute it hardly turns to get back on track.
I know it is an FSX-PM issue coz some have reported that problem already too but i cant find if there is any solution for that already posted.
It should have been solved with one of the last updates of the PM-CDU but it seems it isnt.
Anyways..thanks for your reply and your help....very much appreciated it.

Hi Klaus,
The 'turning-in' problem is discussed here and the solution is in the final message. :)

Hi Ray,
Actually, I create company plans (.sbp's) with FliteStar, and though I used to have the problem (as you pointed out), it was certainly fixed by Enrico in releases some time ago. I specifically looked out for it again in a flight today, using a FliteStar-generated plan, and it stuck to the magenta line well, nor veering slowly off and diving in at the last moment as it used to.
I am using all the very latest PM modules at present -- MCP 446, GC 466 and CDU 409a.
Maybe it's only plans generated to FSX ".pln" format and loaded by the CDU from the "FSPLANS" folder which are affected?
Best Regards

Thank you...i just wonder why it happens to me coz i always entered a flightplan and never loaded one.
I will give it a try coz usually i create a flightplan in the CDU and then safe it there. Maybe thats also not working...thx anyways..highly appreciated it much....

Hi Pete,
Thanks for the update. As you know I still fly FS9 so haven't had the chance to test more recent builds in FSX. I don't remember seeign this problem on your system back in the summer when we loaded pre-built plans. Last weekend we built the plan in the CDU.
Strange that Klaus still has the problem. Maybe Jonathan can offer some advice.

Just to make sure if we talk about the same things:
The flightplans i use are generated in FS Build and then i type it into the CDU. I never imported any fightplans yet.
But even i typed the waypoints or airways into the CDU i had this problem. Short b4 approaching to a waypoint the plane drifts and then tries to reach the waypoint with a high bank angle....
The FSX version i used is with SP 1 and 2 but no Acc. Pack.
Thanks
Klaus

Hi Klaus,
Yes, that's how I enter my routes. For example, J123.XYZ, J777.ABC etc.
It's baffling that you see a problem that Pete and I don't. I'm not sure what else to suggest other than an email to PM Support as that might be quicker than waiting for Jonathan to visit here.
