Sitting in front of the pc, running FSX, I got a nutty idea. Google images "Bowers Flybaby" Got an old one in my barn. Wings are shot, no engine, tail feathers off and bare. However, it's on gear with those big old tires, and that distinctive 3 piece wind screen. I'm an old low slow pilot that loved crop dusting.Think I could make that into a sim cockpit? Maybe cut the fuselage off just behind the seat. I have one of those gamer seats from my son.
Simple, yes. Right up my alley. I'm a retired maint. worker, 32 years on high speed packaging machinery. Sounds like fun to me.

I recon that I'll be asking a lot of dumb questions.
Thanks, for listening.

GO for it!!!

As you will see in here many builders are using real aircraft cockpits to make there sims. From helicopters to full sized 737 nose sections. Sometimes you can get a great deal at the right time. :D

That would be an awsome platform for a sim. There is alot you could do with that style cockpit you could even consider a WW1/WW2 fighter. When/If you start take pics. Oh and above all HAVE FUN
