Hi Guys/Girls

I was flighting today from Darwin to Gold coast (australia), a small airport using 747-400,
when i got close to the destination, i notice the airport doesn't have any ILS :-(,
only RNAV and VOR.
My question is, how do u land or program the 747-400 to land at the airport like you normally
do with an ILS approach.:?::?::?:

thansks for you help
:grin:

There's not a quick answer to that, you need to find a tutorial on the net, there's bound to be one. Try and get the VOR approach landing plates (charts) for the airfield (assuming it has a published VOR approach). Then learn how to fly your 747 very well!

On most Jets on VOR approaches you fly down to minimums already stabilized in approach that means Gear down and flaps for landing and basically you follow VASI or PAPI to land! So you proggram on your FMC the VOR approach fly it down to the Missed approach point and minimums and then you proceed visual! Remember VOR approaches are non precission approaches so you not neccessarilly are straight alligned with the runway you have to visually steer your plane to final approach course!

Hope it helps!
