Hi guys,

I am still a little unsure of the form and dimensions of the 737NG throttle quadrant. I have made a very basic sketch in Photoshop and would appreciate it is someone could measure up their quadrant and post the dimensions (preferably in metric :) here.

My sketch:

http://www.737ng.eu/150310/tqdim.jpg

The dimensions I want are:
A: the distance from the cockpit floor to the top of the throttle quadrant. (excl all levers and thingies!)
B: The depth of the unit from the base to the rear
C: The depth of the unit from the 'point' to the rear
D: The height of the 'point' from the cockpit floor.
E: the height from the cockpit floor to the center of the axis of the trim wheels

Thanks in advance !!!

Andrew.

Hi Cap,

I am still looking around my links. I am certain I ran across some great drawings, but I can't place where. Being that I am building the A320 I didn't save the link.

Hey Cap,

Did you see the file in the download section? I am note sure if it's what you are looking for, but it appears to be a pretty darn good 737NG throttle tutorial and some decent cad files.

Hi there,

Appreciate your looking around for me, .. but I am specifically looking for the dimensions of the above structure. Most TQ plans show the TQ as a 'square' column, the real one looks vaguely like the one in my sketch.

Just checked the downloads, .. I have all those files, . - thanks anyway

Ok, I will keep looking. You find the darndest things when looking for something else. When I get a good set of throttle plans put together for my A320 I am gonna post em here with lots of pics.

I appreciate that.

The problem is, that many people have built one, but everybody has their own cockpit and the measurements might be a cm or two off so that the TQ can fit into their cockpit. I have several drawings but all of them are conflicting.

I just noticed that the TQ from http://www.revolution-simproducts.com/ seems like it the correct size!

I will try and send them an email , ... see if they answer :)

Okay okay , ... iNow if only I could get into a real 737 parked at EHAM and start measuring!
