I am reprogramming my sim for FS2P5.It is a very nice little program. However, I have one question. I am doing the Landing gear indications. I have a green light for each whell, but only one red GEAR UNSAFE light. How can I set it up so that the one light gives true indication of all three gear positions? In other words, If one gear failed to come down the light would stay illuminated but the other two would be green.
Thanx in advance

Geoff,
You have already sent me personal email regarding prop lever. Still waiting for responses on that one.
When we get that one out of the way I will look at this item. My dad passed away this week, will therefore be a few days before I get to this.
Regards,
Alan

If I understand correctly, you want 3 parallel switches driving an annunciator? Switches are activated by one of three gear positions?

I want three outputs (one for each wheel) driving one light.
Alan, never got your response to my email. sorry about your dad.
Hi Gokhotit
I dont know if you got any suggestions on this yet.
But try this. I will be dowloading Phidgets 19 this week.
It may have better ways of doing this

GoHo has had many responses to his email.
I have lost count of how many emails I have exchanged with him.
He never responded stating this, making me look like a jerk,
although I feel I am entitled to a few days break to bury and mourn my father.

I have just been accused by some strupid inconsiderate Greek of insulting his mother.
I have taken about as I prepared to. This is not worth it.
Good-bye.

first off, Alan you are not a jerk, more of an inspiration. I would not be in this hobby if it wasnt for you. I didnt intend to make you look or feel like a jerk.
Second, I guess I have screwed this up beyond all recognition and am starting over from scratch. This was an idea that I was trying before i messed it all up. So i am starting over. or, I am going to tear the thing apart with a 20lb sledge hammer, havent decided yet.
Ken, I could not get the program to set up like how you had pictured. However, what i did discover, is since I wired the board so the LEDs are on a common negative bus (since the card switches positive, dont ask me why this is) some of the outputs "ghost" themselves. So, I have two outputs that can activate the GR UNSAFE light.
3895Hi Gokhotit:
It is really unfortunate that Alan is gone. He has helped me a few times too.
Your aircraft annnunciator panel is very nice we can try a few things to get it going.
1.The Led64 outputs are split into ODD and EVEN groups.
2. The + common from each group must be kept seperated.
3. Each led is turned on when a NEGATIVE is applied to it. (If you now have Negative as common this wont work !!)
5. I have attached a simple diagram which shows the proper wiring. I hope its not too blurry !!
This hopefully will fix the ghosting problem.
6. Plug in the Led64 card --Start the phidgets program --Then create a very simple project using ONLY the
Odd numbered LED64 outputs and a simple switch device.
7. You should create a new circuit for Each Led. Do not use output zero it will cause confusion later.
8. If you are a little rusty with the program sit down and create a few simple circuits even if they dont do anything.
By pressing all the buttons you will soon see how it all works. I have each LED64 output in a separate circuit. The circuit number is set up with the same number as the LED64 output
9. Create a test circuit that will light each LED with a DIGITAL INPUT. You can then manually actuate it with a mouse click and see what happens.
I have just downloaded V19 but didnt get a chance to use it. After a quick look at the manual it looks like it will be even easier to set up circuits . (Good job Alan !!!)

Im not worried about the ghosting problem..That can be overlooked as all 64 LEDs are not used. My setup is fairly simple in terms of setup. There are a couple of quirks in it (ie LAnding gear indicator). But since the light is ghosted twice, I can run individual outputs for the mains, just cant monitor the nose wheel. I hope this makes sense..
Sounds like the ghosting is actually helping you.
You can always change if you add more leds.
Best Regards
