fs phidgets button input qestion

hello
i got the download 5.0.18
all working great
i have coneccted toggle switiches ok and led out puts using the 0/16/16
but have one problem

i dont understand witch function to use as i whant to conect korry type
with dose not stay on it works like a ketboard i think tack switchs is the name
i whant 1 press on and 2 press off
i tryed push2reset but it is not working it will not do anything
and how i whant it to work is like this

1 press on/led output on//// 2 press off/led output off

hope you can understand what i mean

I think you are referring to a momentary switch.
Set the Latch property to true.

ok got that some thing strange happend can you remind me were to go and what to change on this probleme this is what i did

first select input digital in switch then select fs input i then go and fs file /fs variables 4315 xml then fs variable and i select engine 1 fuel lever
and it works ok

i then open a new circuit and do the same steps for the engine1 start switch

a message comes up saying set useratio to true??

what ever i choose this interface will show that it is working on the test board but will not work with fsx at all i can not remeber what i had changed and made it work

what can i do to fix this

I do not recall ever having working with anyone on an engine start switch with fs2phidget5.
Was the original post on this forum or a private email?
If so, what date? so that I can go back and look thru my emails.

The fuel lever and engine start switch do not work the same.
One has two values, the other has three.
You need to read and understand the FSUIPC offsets.
Otherwise, I can see myself ending up giving you every keystroke to press for every one of your cockpit items.

Make sure the key FS Variable properties are correct i.e. Offset, Length and Function.
Should be DISCRETE for engine start.
Which 2 of the 3 start switch positions were you attempting to control with the 2-position switch?
Homework Assignment: Read FSUIPC documentation, Engine 1 Start Switch section only.
Section is a single paragraph with 5 sentences.

Download 5.0.19 and install.
You do not have to uninstall 5.0.18 (your choice).
Let me know when you have installed.
I will walk you thru setting up start switch.
After we have done 2 or 3 functions, will be easier for you.
