3D Ready Projector?

Hi,

I am about to purchase a projector for the pit.
I just came across 3D ready projectors (which I think Airhogg is using), but cannot figure out exactly what it does, and how it can help us in our flightsims.

Can I use 1 projector for a wrap-around view, or will I need 3 projectors for a wrap-around view?
Can I setup a curved screen, or do I use only a falt screen?

I will aprreciate any help on this.
