Boeing 747 Flyer

Hiya everyone,
I'm a bit confused here. The simulator manufacturers, "PlugnFly", are using Opencockpits Hardware (?) in their products. Look at their 747CDU:
http://www.plugnfly.com/en_fms-747-pro.html
"IOCards Encoder Keys" with "Drivers SIOC Included". I am confused as Opencockpits manual states that IOCards are a non-commercial project (?) or something along those lines.
Anyway, please enlighten me,
Jack;)
EDIT: After further investigation, I've found that they're also selling MASTER CARDS directly. Also, their MCP Panel is almost an exact copy of Opencockpits' and is interfaced using the exact same cards. What gives? Are Opencckpits and PlugnFly affiliated in any way?
