opencockpits MCP 737NG v2

This module is completely plug&play (no need of USB driver). Only needs SIOC with your favourite configuration file that will link with the simulator via FSUIPC or IOCP.

is this mcp easy to confiner :?:?

I think you are asking if this MCP is easy to configure.

Yes it is and once you have downloaded and installed the SIOC codes available from the same OpenCockpits page as the MCP, it is plug and play and is a very nice piece of kit.

Hi dazchad.

You will need either FSUIPC or IOCP.

I would suggest if you haven't got it then a registered version of FSUIPC as it will so helpful to you later on to configure so many other aplications.

Hello everyone, first time post.

I too am looking for an EFIS/MCP for the PMDG 737-800 (FS2004). Just to make the simulation that extra bit more realistic. I'm tossing up between either the CP or Opencockpits but the Opencockpits does not make it explicit whether their units work with PMDG. I came back here (I was around about three years ago as a guest), and found this thread. I understand from above that you can get Opencockpits to work with PMDG, but am wondering if anyone can give me a definite 'yes it will work properly' before I go ahead and purchase it.

Thankyou,
Alex.

Hi Alex the opencockpits Mcp and Efis controler does work with the PMDG737, but I found it hard to set up. I had to get a guy I know to get it working. Its working great now. I am crap with computers. It would be great if some body who knew wot they were doing could do a small step by step walk tru of how to get it working. The only part of the opencockpits manual i could understand how to do was maping the keys. Its very frustrating when you make a post on a forum looking fo help and some body just says read the manual. I am only new to this website and cockpit building and could do with some help like many others who have made posts only to be giving a stupid answer like read the manual

Hello Gary,

I wish to buy it together the Efis.
My question is: is possible to get it compatible with the new iFly 737?
I sent to you one PM

Hi Dazchad,

in aexample, can I get it compatible with the new one iFly B737 or make it adaptable with other planes?
I understood that MCP by OC is compatible with all default planes, but i.e. I wish to fly with my B1900 by PMDG or MD11 or Flight1 ATR 72-500, is it possible to adapt it to them too?
At my home I have a general multi purpose MIP ( I can change panel, some config file and I can fly with another plane for a total of 6 planes - no airbus) but around the market there are only Boeing and Airbus modules available for the MCP and Efis... this is the problem.
So could be great for me to have the opportunity to change SIOC config in order to use all of them.
Maybe someone experienced something like that?

Thank you

Hi,

This is my first post.

I have started to built my homecockpit 737 NG using Opencockpit modules.
I'm also interested to know how did you get PMDG 737NG work with the OC MCP. Is there any step by step?

Thanks,
Slamer
