OC COMM modules have a COMM TEST button which actualy as the manual says :

5. TEST pushbutton:
- In the real radio, this button would be used for functions that are not implemented in the simulator
(squelch, etc…) but Opencockpits, in order to make it useful uses it as a test for the digits (turns on
all digits for a few moments showing 888.888)

Can this button in a way play the role of a PUSH to TALK button ?

If yes can both COMM radios (COM1 & COM2) TEST buttons do the same job ?

Thanks

Nick

PS1. I currently use one button in my CH yoke for this.
PS2. I am totaly new to IOC

Hehe... I'm new to SIOC to and got my F/o EFIS working in a script together with the FMC last week. Big party to celebrate the achievement.
This problem of yours will be a nice little "first time challenge".
I think you must make taht function an own variable and assign it to this button... I would look into another script that uses buttons and rip the few lines about that push and alter the values.
Steal from the rich!

As you can read on the OC manual about the NAV and COM and the other ADF and XPDR, you can program any functions (button, display ecc. ecc.) by SIOC. In this case you don't use any other program (i don't remember his name), to use it without SIOC.
If you use SIOC you need also to program all display and offset to ger value from FS.
