I have read so many things about the well known to all of us subject of CDU drivers lack for PMDG 737 series. I really cannot understand this thing, and excuse me for that.

I really cannot understand how and why a certain community, with hundrend (thousand ? ) of members worldwide, is in the middle of a conflict between two groups, which I suspect are few persons involved.

I really cannot understand how and why is it so difficult to make a so much popular aircraft addon like PMDG connect with a CDU device like engravity. I can see the legal issues involved, but when there is will, there is a way... When there is demand, there is supply... If one cannot supply a driver with a certain product, then stop producing this product, and create a new one with which you can certainly provide a driver for it.

Please someone make me stop now....

Just sharing my thoughts loud.

Have a good night to all of you guys.

Nick

But which product do you stop producing??? There are lots of PMDG users who don't have a hardware CDU, and there are lots of Engravity CDU users who have a working CDU with other software vendors.

Please someone make me stop now....

Stop! Now!

Yes Nick, I too have been amazed and saddened by this strange dispute which has left a lot of folks with some expensive unusable hardware, or at least unusable in the preferred setting. I suspect there are some very large egos involved - not unknown in the flightsim world!

Hey Sean,

I think that it is obvious what I am talking about... A specific CDU product is being produced, that is the Engravity CDU, which is compatible with all FS aircrafts and not with the most popular one, that is the PMDG 737 series, unless one has to purchase an extra SDK software for it, that is PM, FDS, etc..... AND all above has obviously a legal background behing the story...

That is the case here... These are the facts... so simple...

For those who fly a PMDG without a CDU hardware, I am afraid that this topic is not of their interest, since I am talking clearly about the combination of both hardware and software products in this specific thread.....

Bryn Hi Bryn,

I suspect the same too. I could tell you that I do not understand, but I do.... You see I am Greek too

Anyway, as per Sean request, I have to stop now.

Is PMDG compatible with the FDS CDU?

It's frustrating because of the fact that the Engravity CDU and PMDG used to be compatible. If you purchased them when that was the case, then you'd have the driver and it wouldn't be a problem. But if you bought the CDU after the split, then that's hard luck, you should've known it wasn't compatible and bought another CDU.

As far as I can tell, it was PMDG who stopped supporting Engravity, if it makes a difference.
