So, i am now a proud owner of Mike Powells Book, Building Simulated Aircraft Instrumentation. What i want to know is the best, and easiest interface to use for the instruments. I was thinking of Simkits, but im not sure if you can use them for self build instruments, and if you can, how easy it is to interface them.

I have e-mailed simkits a few times, but i guess they are too busy to reply to a small question like that. So, instead i am asking if anybody here has gone via this approach, and if so, how easy it was?

Any other suggestions would be welcomed too, Thanks Guys!

simkits sells a multi controller that will drive some of the instrumens. Over than that a servo card with sioc could work. Or learn to build circuit boards and make your own controller with PIC chips. Hope this helps.

Servo board driver>Servo Board> Servo SIOC Required.
That's it... gotta learn SIOC, and be a dab hand at electronics other than that the worlds your oyster. Many people interface real instruments via this approach
