You are taking on a mammoth task. Check all forums is a good start then research.

Hi Aron, such a simple question but as Eddy pointed out, a mammoth task. Always happy to help out an enthusiastic builder but first a few questions. What do you have so far? What skills do you have to do it yourself? (machining, electronics, carpentry, welding). Can you get hold of a real throttle that can be adapted for simming? The easiest road is to buy a pre-built version (inquire at FDS (http://www.flightdecksolutions.com)) but be prepared for the cost!

Do a search of this site and as many others you can get onto as there's lots of information out there, just not necessarily in one single package. For instance in the download section of this website is a document that might give you some idea HERE (http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=170). It's a great introduction into motorized throttles and just happens to use a home-made 747 Quad as an example.

Good luck,

Ken.

Ok well that's excellent Aron. $50,000 is a pretty decent budget for a sim and getting your main components from FDS is also a good start. They might also be able to help with the 747 quad.

Good luck and most of all, have fun :)

Ken.

Well actually no because My father Is quite helping me with that cockpit and well I think he is rich. that's the thing no lottery or something just pure business and stuff and Well I am buying a Passat CC for my first Car ( I am only 17) so for my family $50000 isn't that much for examble our new porsche cayenne costs about $260.000 dollars!

that is very cool ! Congrats - right now I'm building a motorized 737 Throttle - maybe we can exchange thoughts later on ;D look at my website www.x737cockpit.wordpress.com (no post about the throttle yet but it will come) btw.: I can't spend so much money so it's DIY! but that's the greatest thing with this hobby! (my opinion)
cheers
