No. :(
What you will see when choosing wxr on the EFIS controller is an overlayed satellite picture in ND providing you have pmGetWeather installed and the link to the sat pics is working which is not the case for Europe.
To get a better wx radar you need to find the discontinued SA_WXR program by Florian Paxmayer.
Simulates Collins 2100 radar incl. all modes and antenna tilt.
Bases its radar pic on actual FS9 weather and not on sat pics.

Hello Bjorn
do you know if SA_WXR was compatible with FSX also?
As it is dicontinued is it anywhere available for download ?

I only use FS9 so not 100% sure, but I believe it should work with FSX/PM too.
Also no idea where it can be downloaded.
Best,
Bjorn

Eddie,
I tryed to search the internet for Sa_wxr for some time,--nothing found
Let us know if you will have more luck

Thanks much Bjorn, I feared just as much. I find the satellite overlay a poor excuse for the real thing. The Collins 2100 is what Capt. Sim. puts with their B757 package. I'll try to see if I can find the freeware that you mentioned. Lets face it , FS9 or FSX lacks in one area and that is WX radar. Many users don't understand what a proper wx radar return looks like. Of course, no fault of there own.
Happy flying,
Brett

Realityxp sells a Bendix King IN-2026A look alike.
Works just like the real thing.I have been wondering though,, if it will map lakes like a real radar. i've just tried it out a little and it picks up thunderstorms very well.

If I am not mistaken the Reality XP radar is a "gauge" and cannot be overlayed an ND driven from a network client. (PM or ProSim)
A gauge is only meant to complement your aircrafts "panel" in the FS computer, and can not be activated from e.g. a hardware EFIS controller or controlled by a hardware radar panel.
Bjorn
Well , Bjorn--that is a gauge and cant be overlayed on ND , but hardware support provided by developers and even may be even triggerted by efis button with some assighments changes
Of course will have to run on FS computer on additional monitor

I have all buttons working properly on the realityxp radar using the Bodnar card ,some momentary push buttons and some rotary encoders.
I have used real wx radars and I can tell you this one works very much like the real thing.
I have the radar gauge overlaid on the main panel.

Building this item ,already assembled , but still not interfaced ,however
How did you solved the diplay ishue in order to eliminate borders and knobes from the screen?
As well would be nice to see they key combos assighments you using for interfacing
Thanks in advance for replay

I am not sure what you mean by interfaced ?
I didn't use key combos,, I used the mouse macro feature of FSUIPC to assign the buttons to the Wx Radar software.
I didn't have to remove the borders or buttons from the screen because there was enough room behind the panel mask to use the whole gauge .
However ,,if that is a concern,, I did remove the borders from the RealityXp gps by editing the panel config as per the Garsim pdh file. i'm sure that the radar could be edited the same way.
Thank you for explanations,
I mean by interfacing-assighn hardware actions, for software reactions
I was intended to use the key combos by editing WXR ini file, but thanks to your advice, will consider macros
As to gauge, undocked and running on additional screen ,will try to use FSpanelstudio for editing

I used the tutorial on the gps from this site . It was very informative. I used it to set up the RealityXp garmin 430 on my panel. I used the same keystrokes as used in the tutorial, then assigned the interface buttons to the keystrokes via FSUIPC. I also used the panel config numbers mentioned in the tutorial to cut the borders off the gps. Because the radar isn't the same size (or the 430 as compared to the 530 in the tutorial) I backed up the panel.cfg file then started with the new numbers in the tutorial. After experimenting and changing the numbers a bit, I got to a good size for the panel.
For some reason, the gps would'nt take the mouse macros, or I would have done it that way. however ,the radar took the macros and that is how I assigned those buttons.
here is a link to the gps tutorial.I'm sure you will find everything you need here to interface the radar to working order.

Thank you again , the tutorial is briliant
Somehow missed this one
And congratulation on you project--super
