I was asked by a member to make a 737 MIP, and had many sets left over after getting 4 MIPs out of a sheet of 8 x 4 mdf from the CNC machine, infact I sold 2 sets! So I decided to make a 737 MIP for my self just for the heck of it! (no, im not building a 737 sim, couldnt afford one in my wildest dreams).
To be honest so far, it really isn't hard or expensive to make an MIP from MDF. The paint was the most expensive with a can of Belton RAL 7011 costing £18.50 delivered! (But it is the right colour and not a substitute). I have just bought 2 Dzus panels and an autobrake panel from Gez from his site, so now awaiting that!
Got some lovely tinted acrylic in mind to fill the bezels which can be bough very cheaply.
Next step, priming the panels, then sanding, then 2 coats of RAL paint!
Coming along....cheaply, but looking alrite!
The only thing I have made which is not cnc'ed were the three standby instruments bezels which I made from a scrap piece of mdf!
My inspiration for this project was Gwyns original MIP back in the day, were he routed grooves into his MIP to give the effect of multiple panels, I just decided to go with individual panels mouted on a backer to hold in place....quite effective!

All the best!
Edit: If anyone has a pair of clock bezels, please let me know (or if you can cut a pair of pezels) Cheers :)
