@Matt, the X-Plane beta was so good, I've watched for an hour or so.
- New local weather system
- The same (or better?) flight model as is XPlane 9
- Much better "houses, lightpoles, roads"
- The lighting: I saw the reflection of plane-lights on the rooftops ;)
- The shadows, just work, also seen on rooftops
This is known for a long time now, seeing is believing what made me so "excited" ;)
VFR flying in X-Plane is going to a "next level",
I hope Austin will find the power to finish it up soon.

The last time a flew the real 172 I don't remember it having the reaction of a fighter jet on the control inputs! LOL The visuals do look great but if the flight model is the same as vs9 , shame.

@flatlandpilot, do you recall what version the beta is? I noticed on the X-plane site they have Beta 9.7
I can't get over the price of the current version..... $29.00

Pitty I missed this years FSWeekend.
Thanks for sharing the pics and vids! Does anybody have some pictures and/or info from the JetMax products from FDS?

Great report. I wish we had something like that in Canada. Even a club would be great (as there were many at your show).

Delphi, thanks so much for your review. For those of us unable to go, this was very informative. Your site is becoming a staple for me. Please keep up the great work.
With my upcoming move back to Germany in the Summer, I am hoping to be able to get to FS Weekend next year (of course, with my luck, someone will decide to hold in North America next year :o )
Thanks again,
Warren

In this review it is said the Jetstream cockpits will be using ProSim software - seems strange when FDS have SimAvionics software in-house which does the same thing.

Here is a couple of videos from Lelystad, located on my new YouTube account (account name change). First on is a very short in action shot of the Revolution TQ. Second one is a bit longer one of Ian explaining several functions of the Revolution TQ. Third one is my wife Ahu's landing in Roland's simulator, her first experience with flying.

Hi Efe,
It was great to see you and your wife during this year's event!
Actually she made a pretty decent landing, but her footwork still needs some practice!
Also great to see the beautiful craftmanship of those TQ's!
Below video shows what went on in the early hours on Saturday morning, setting up the platform.
The 6DoF platform of Douwe and Ton was next to mine, and they were definitelty good neighbours, even helped me solve a small EMC problem!
Again a great show, with a friendly and interesting crowd, a couple of crashes, gear-up landings and some amazing pilots as well!
So far, the rig has proven very robust, not a sign of wear after two FSweekends, with some pilots definitely exceeding the 85kg limit.
Hope to see you all again next year!
