Hi all,

For my 737 NGMIP I was looking for the standby instruments.

I couldn't find anything what suits my needs, so I dicides to make them my self.

Here I'll show you my lasercut 737 NG standby instrument and yaw damper.
The most of the instruments have several parts i.e. the yaw damper has 4 parts, so that they look very simulair to the real ones.
There is also a bezel for the yaw damper which I'll upload later.

In the next weeks I will upload more pictures of the lasercut MIP.

Best regards

And here some pictures of my MIP progress.
You can see that I not add the decals on the standby instruments and yaw damper yet.
The bezel must be spray paint for the third and last time.

Next will be the captain side.

More to com soon..............

All the materials I use are acrylic (plexiglass) 4 and 6 mm.
And Vivak 1 mm for the faceplates of the instruments.

If done all the bezels on my cnc mill, because the laser can't champher the edges.
All the bezels are finished.

Ohh i making a CNC machine 180x100cm and i wonder if you want to share the display bezel drawnings? because i need a drawning of the display bezel with all the edges so the CNC machine cut it too :P

Hello Jan737,

can you please give a short explanation how you do the pcbs? I am doing my panels also on a CNC which i own.

Milling the panels is not big deal - but finding an elegant solution for backlighting and the necessary buttons and switches would be appreciated.

I recently started to model my panels incl switches etc. in Autodesk inventor which will give me good results before tunring the cnc on.

So, how do you develop your pcbs ? Do you use EAGLE ? Can you post some picture of your panels in assembled condition from the backside ???

When i finished modelling the AFDS Panel, and have the milled parts - i will also post some pictures of it...

Cheers from Germany

Hi Andy,

I made my pcb's with Sprintlayout.
Draw the pcb so that it fit with the position for rotary's, switches etc.
Then plan the position of the smd led's so that all the text is covered.

See the example pictures of my Boeing style clock.
