Hi,
Jesse again

well iv been looking at making a little switch box for a cessna cockpit and i was wondering what board to use to wire my switches to im not sure what to call it but i was wondering what would be the cheapest and most direct route be im not to experienced with wires but i can manage if its not to hard of a job?? and if possible id like to have the ones that use USB to hook to the computer and then you just assign the switch to a certain airplane function.

Thanks

do you have to have a diff type of board for 2way switches and a different type for turning nobs and 3way switches ??

There are a few simple boards to use.

leobodnar.com is one supplier of easy to use input boards. I use the BU0386X with rotary encoders, switches and pots. If using a rotary encoder you will need to download a simple software program.

Pokeys 56U card is an USB based input output card that is getting good reviews. I have not used it....yet.

These are just two of several that are out there. Take the time to search through the I/O interfacing and hardware forum listed further down on the forum page. Some of the threads are for the more compicated boards but there are several for the simpler to use boards.
