Hi all. Newbie here.

I have a problem with a bodnar buo836x.

I'm trying to connect a rotary encoder to the card to use for setting radios. Problem is that the configuration software doesn't find my card. Windows controller properties show that the buttons are being pressed and so long everyting i fine but when i open the encoders config tool it cant fin my card, everything is "grey" and i can't click anything, nothing works.

What am i missing here?

Edited post:

I have tryed with a second computer that has Windows vista on it, my main system has W7. Still no go with either of the computers.

SOLVED

Your card (I now, I sold you it) are in a version that bu0836_config.exe do not support.

I was lucky to find a very competent programmer that has done a similar program in Linux. After some update of the code the program works as a charms and rotary encoders can be configured, axes inverted and other features. It also supports all bodnar cards.

The updated programme can hopefully be downloaded in new version in a short while at:

http://gitorious.org/bu0836/bu0836?page=4

and will work under Linux. I build it onto Ubuntu 10.04 with some help from the author of the program (very helpful indeed).
