Hi,

I've laser cut my panels too.
To spray paint the panels, you have to "sand" them with scotch brite.
Then you can spray paint a first layer of 1- component acryl primer.
Within 10 minutes sand it for a second time with scotch bite and add a second layer of primer.
Let it dry , see information on the spray can.

After that you can spray any color you like.

Best regards

Thank you Jan!! I guess my question should have been "How" rather than What.

Good thing the steps are not as painful as painting Classic American Rust Bucket Cars hehe.

Thanks,

Lou Mendez

Hello,

first i also use scotch brite to get some roughness on the acryl . Then use primer. For the final painting i use standard car paint out of the spray can. Two layers give a nice result. Be carefull that you have a clean working area and no dust floating around. Using scotchbrite on acryl "loads" the material electrostatical and the dust loves to come and sit down on the freshly painted surface.... ; )

That looks outstanding! I would love to see pics/video when they are completed.

It came out nice. I have painted cars before but never painted acrylic surface.

Louie,

Could I ask how you mask the letters when you do the spray painting?

Thank you,

Philip

Louie,

I am amazed again! That annunciator panel will do pretty well your site I would think.
Let me know when/if you have the gps/nav panel available, and I will get some cash on your way!
