Hi,
Has anybody ever ordered anything from Goldmedalsimparts.com ? Their products made of MDF look quite nice and are very reasonably priced.
I can't find anything about shipping on their website and no way to contact them besides a telephone number.

Hi Martin,
I've never bought anything from this company but after a little digging it seems they are based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The Address is:
Av.José Edgard Sanfins, 237. Jd. Palladino
CEP: 13257-260 - Itatiba - SP
contato@brsimulations.com
I got this information from the website that links to their Paypal details.
Hope this helps
Joe.

I've ordered a throttle stand and CDU bay from them maybe a year ago or so now. I think shipping to the United States was about $100 (USD).
Regarding the product itself - went together well - I used wood glue and then screwed everything together. Just a light sanding on the edges, primer, then paint and you are good to go.

Ok, thanks, a 100 dollars seems quite a lot but I guess it's pretty heavy. I just emailed them. See what they have to offer.

Hey Matt,
Any finished photos of the products? Seems like a good way to go to piece-meal a cockpit frame together over a few orders for not to much money.
How was the fitting for CDU bay for a FMC if you have one. Can that screen be cut out to put a monitor in?

There's also a "contact us" link at the bottom of the site that takes you to an email form in cause that email above doesn't work.

Yeah, I tried the link but my browser comes back with "the system can't find the specified file" so that's a no go.

Whoopsie! My copy/paste must've carried over outlook's embedded link. I corrected my post so it should work now.

I should have been more precise : I can fill out the form on the website but the button "send data" gives the error.

Unfortunately no photos :( just never occurred to me. And I've since upgraded to a RevSim Throttle and a CDU bay from Sismo.
Never did have a FMC in that bay, just a picture to make it seem more real.
Sorry!

So I emailed them and it turns out Goldmedalsimparts is a subsidiary of this company : ..: BR Simulations :.. (http://www.brsimulations.com/index_e.htm)
They only sell to FAA certified companies and they referred me back to Goldmedalsimparts. So basically back to square one.
I really don't want to place an expensive call to Brazil so I guess I have to give it a miss.
Maybe they'll still get back to me.

The Goldmedalsimparts and BRSimulations are the same thing.
The first sells parts in MDF
The second sells the full cockpit, and must have a registered school.
To get an idea, a 737 cockpit can cost $ 130,000.00
There is another company in Brazil:
brcockpit.com

BRSimulations got back to me, they are going to send me a quote for shipping to Holland.

Problem though is Goldmedal Sim Parts is impossible to reach (or just ignoring emails). I used their contact form and two emails addresses associated with the domain name but have not gotten any response yet.
Not even sure if they are still in business or what.
