PhidgetTextLCD 20X2 with fs2phidget for IRS panel (ifly737)

Hello, i have ordered a PhidgetTextLCD 20X2: White : Integrated PhidgetInterfaceKit 8/8/8 for setup the IRS panel of the ifly 737ng through the FS2PHIDGET ( 4.3.66), but i don't Know what offset use and How to setup the phidget lcdtext through the fs2phidget.

Salaam allaykam,
You need to obtain the offset, length and type from iFly documentation.
You create an FSVariable using the FsVariable Manager (button is on FS2Phidget main screen).
You assign the FsVariable to a TectLCD Line. The Help explains how to do this.

Salam Alan:) , thanks for your reply, this what i found for IRS ifly737 offset: "66C0 length 20 (string)".
So the steps are as follow:
- Create FsVariable ex "ifly_irs
- Assign the offset: 66C0
- Assign the size: 20
- FsVariable Type: ?????
So please if you can give me more explainations:roll:

Hi Alan for the version 4.3.66 i have downloaded from this web site but i have also install the 4.3.83 (for the dual brightness) that Eddie(oal331) had send me by mail

Do you have fs2phidget.chm in your fs2phidget folder?

You most probably need latest version from this web site.
I cannot locate Download section, so cannot help you locate it.
Every time I turn around the web site has changed or there is access issue.

Hi alan the problem is solved for the fs2phidget.chm, the problem was that i have only install the fs2phidget 4.3.66 ( this exe is just an update), i have download now the 4.3.65 version and installv it and now i have the fs2phidget.chm ready on the help window

1) first run ifly and iflytofsuipc tool
1) run fs2phidgets

About problems with your Fs2Phidgets installatin, you have first to install from here http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=20 4.3.65 then update 4.3.66 and then the one i sent you by email

As you show, no dot and degrees on the PPOS, the wind is not set correctely, and also the TK/GS, the HDG/STS??

Are those HDG/STS...WIND values all coming from the same offset?
Guessing they are, and are the result of the IRS display selector.
Are these values coming from iFly?
If so, you need to take this up on the iFly forum.

Hi Alan, yes all the values comes from the same offset "66C0" with lentgh "20", it's not comes from Ifly variables this is the link here on mycockpit website:http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/phidgets-interface-alan-dyers-fs2phidget/24368-fs2phidgets-irs-panel.html,there are an app called "iflyIRS" from FSPS website that drive the offset to display the "IRS display".

We can say that the PPOS and HDG/STS is correct (only missing "dot" and "degrees", but the problem is with the TK/GS and WIND, for example for the WIND diplay the correct displaying is: 002.2 on the left and 0.0 on the right same for TK/GS, as you show the right text is displaying near the left text, on the link that i give OAL331 has found a solution i contact him but no answer

I have NO control over what vendors place in a given offset.
You need to contact vendor and get correct values placed in the 20 bytes at offset 66C0.
66C0 is a memory location in your PC that a product like iFly populates.
FSUIPC reads that value and passes on to Fs2Phidget which displays the value on the TextLCD "as is".
If I could change iFly or iFlyIRS product to provide corrrect values I would help you.
