Hi all.

Just wonder why not to use a 360 degree servo for flaps gauge, to advoid fiddyling with gear ( direct drive ). The opencockpits usb servocard offer 1024 bits resolutions, so with a 360 degree servo you get 360/1024=0.35degree per stepe, as i see it it must give a smooth movement to the gauge neddle...

Any comments to this issue or experience???

Best regards zirakonium....

As far as I'm aware, there are no 360 degree controlled servos - I think the ones that are advertised as 360 degree are continuous rotation.

Pololu - GWS S125 1T 2BB Sail Winch Servo (http://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/522)

Interesting - Thanks for that.

It is a bit on the large side, but I can see a use for it.

I might get one to experiment with.

Best Regards,
