Hi All.
Here is the latest on my FCU and EFIS. Although I am only using the captain side EFIS, I have made a dummy EFIS panel for the FO side too. Just waiting on my EFIS knobs now and then I will be wiring it up to the Leo Bodnar BBI32 board. I will be using the mouse trapping technique in FSUIPC to capture some functions within the Wilco Airbus FCU and EFIS until I download the registered version of Eric Marciano's exporter module to retrieve the full set of offsets. So far, its all going to plan....and to my low budget.
The panels are made from 2 layer laser cut 4mm ply and the graphics are vinyl stickers that I stuck on to the ply (which I get professional printed for me). The buttons are just cheap red push buttons from ebay painted black and the buttons all have a sticker applied featuring the wording/text as well as a green led graphic.
Although the panels are not back lit, the stickers (vinyl) shows up vibrantly under UV light, so a tiny amount of UV light in the room makes the panels glow at night....clever!
Here is the set of panels (with cheap ebay electronics)....so far...
9278 9277 9279
Total cost so far excluding Leo Card....£50ish....with card about £80!
The next panel I am making is a simple captain side wing panel.
More to come soon...
Alex
