Hi,

while being in Germany to check out the LVL II simulator there Peter kindly

added a feature to FSUIPC which I think will become very popular. He also
did it incredibly fast.

In real simulators there is no such thing as PAUSE... there things are
frozen, i.e. pause becomes FREEZE and there is such a thing as FLIGHT
FREEZE.

Flight Freeze allows you to hold the aircraft in one spot and still fly the

aircraft, i.e. it will turn, climb, you can set flaps, gear etc. This is
very useful for situations where you want to hold a given position but
change the configuration of the aircraft (during approach etc.)

This new mode can be engaged with today's MCP by pressing the Pause keyboard

key and it will be included in the FCU 202b as well.

Ciao

Wonderful new feature.
Any idea how to operate it in a non-keyboard environment where the MCP is
not in focus?

It's operated by FSUIPC. There are three new FSUIPC controls -- Freeze Pos
toggle, On and Off (I think those are the names). You can assign them to
buttons anywhere on your network or keys on the FS keyboard.

Oh, many thanks. I thought to ask because the offset wasn't mentioned in
Enrico's files. It's wonderful you added it so fast..
