Hello everybody,
I almost spend a whole day for programming what I now use to call 'JeeHell Instructor Panel for WideFS' and am proud to release it to you! :)
The idea:
Like most of you guys, I was searching for a way to implement failures into JeeHell's FMGS. Until now it was only possible to shut down an Engine by just switching it off - this wouldn't even trigger the ENG FAIL ECAM procedure but the ENG SHUTDOWN. Also an ENG FIRE was only possible by holding down the fire test button (ouch, my arm...).
So I accepted the challenge of building something that shuts off systems or triggers certain actions from outside the cockpit. As far as FMGS permits...
How it works:
The solution is quite simple. Almost everyone is using WideFS - and if not, it's not hard to start doing so. WideFS contains a great feature called 'Button Screen Facilities'. It let's you create buttons that trigger button presses of virtual joysticks in a connected FSUIPC.
These button presses can then set offsets and can also be conditional (so you can't switch smth on, that is already running etc.).
Features:
- Completely integrated into WideFS
- Opens up automatically when connection established
- Features 4 general JeeHell Sim controls
- Features 39 different malfunctions - all mixable
- All actions conditional (so you don't switch smth OFF that's already OFF or get out of the loop with toggle switches).
Most of the malfunctions just switch OFF the respective system (i.e. ELAC 2). But some of them actually trigger the correct failure, like ENG FAIL i.e..
How it looks:
Here are some screenshots of some of the pages. Have a look:

Looks nice, doesn't it?
I personally love the ENG malfunctions aswell as the Loss of Cabin Pressure because it happens silently.
Download (v1.01):

Installation:
- Download the package above. Extract the files in a temporary folder.
- Replace the Button Section of your FSUIPC.ini (FlightSimFolder\Modules) with the content of the 'CopyToFSUIPC.txt'
- Replace the User Section of your WideClient.ini (WideClient Main folder on the Instructor PC) with the content of the 'CopyToWideFS.txt'
- Resize your Wide FS window by editing the last two values of the' Screen' parameter. A window size of 1000x700 should do it!
- Done
Note: If you already use the button functions of FSUIPC or the Button Screen Facilities of WideFS make sure not to overwrite your existing buttons and no button numbers are used twice!
Have fun!
Please tell me how it works so I can make adjustments or improvements!
Best Regards,
Martin
